Filled with blood

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there have I, though vile as he,
Washed all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved to sin no more.

E'er since, by faith, I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

Then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing Thy power to save,
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue
Lies silent in the grave.

The steadfast love of God ...

Commit now all your griefs
And ways into His hands,
To His sure Truth and tender care,
Who earth and heaven commands.

Who points the clouds their course,
Whom winds and seas obey,
He shall direct your wandering feet,
He shall prepare your way.

Put all your trust in God,
In duty’s path go on;
Fix on His work your steadfast eye,
So shall your work be done.

No profit can be gained
By self-consuming care;
To Him commend your cause; His ear
Attends the softest prayer.

Through waves and clouds and storms
He gently clears your way:
Wait, then, His time; so shall this night
Soon end in joyous day.

Leave to His sovereign sway
To choose and to command;
So shall you, wondering, own His way,
How wise, how strong His hand!

Let us, in life and death,
His steadfast Truth declare,
And publish with our latest breath
His love and guardian care.

Friday Sky #5

Another blue sky - if I had taken this 6 hours earlier the sky would have looked grey, but we still haven't had rain.

I am a woman ...

I am a woman, not a man, created second in God's plan.
God's plan for womanhood is good; I wouldn't change it if I could.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

... and so do our children. We spent the day at the seaside today, it was a glorious day. The children spent hours in the sea and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I always wish we lived near to the sea when I am there, but I wonder if we would go any more if we lived even five miles away. I expect you still have to make a real effort to go.

Friday Sky #2

Oh dear, I forgot to take a picture last week and it was very late this week when I remembered hence ...

It is the Royal Wedding next Friday, so I wonder if I will remember?

Friday Sky

Thought I would take a picture of the sky from our garden for a few weeks - lets see how many weeks I can keep it up.

Choosing the right colour!

Isn't it hard to choose a new colour for your walls. I'm not very keen on the orginal, we will have to see how the new colour looks ... which one will it be?

Yummy!

Today we thought we'd make some cupcakes. I have recently purchased some silicon cupcake cases, so we tried them out. I have never piped onto cupcakes before, so we thought we would give that a go too.
The results:

Not everyone likes icing :)
Silcon cases worked really well.

.... "The cakes we made are yummy aren't they mummy!".

Building project

Spent an hour or so this afternoon building a model of the tabernacle with my children http://www.gospelhall.org. They really enjoyed it. Behind the veil are models of the ark of the covenant complete with a jar of manna, Aaron's rod and the 10 commandments! We had been learning about the Day of Atonement in Sunday School.

Pray before you speak

I am prone to putting my foot staright in it, but reacting in a hasty manner which generally has a negative affect on the situation. Heard a good sermon this weekend encouraging us to pray before we speak and respond in humility. I am trying hard, but old habbits are hard to break.I'll keep on praying.
